Six people were left injured this morning when the light motor vehicle they were travelling in crashed into a traffic light on Edendale Road in Edendale, KwaZulu Natal.
ER24 paramedics were dispatched to the scene, arriving at 11h30. On scene, medics found a light motor vehicle on the side of the road against the traffic light. Eight people, that had been travelling in the vehicle, were now found walking around the scene.
Medics assessed the patients and found that six people, including two children and a pregnant woman, had sustained minor injuries. Fortunately, no serious injuries or fatalities were found on the scene.
The patients were treated for their injuries and were thereafter transported to Mediclinic Pietermaritzburg and Edendale Provincial Hospital for further care.
Local authorities were on the scene for further investigations.
