Information about Transport from 1 June 2020

Driving license testing centres (DLTC), registering authorities, Vehicle Testing Stations (VTS), driving schools will resume their services from 1 June 2020, subject to the hygiene, disinfection control, social distancing, and sanitizing measures.

All Learner’s licenses, driving licenses, temporary driver’s licenses, motor vehicle license discs, temporary permits, roadworthy certificates and professional driving permits (PDP) that expire during the period that commenced from 26 March -31 May 2020 are deemed valid and their validity period is further extended with 90 days from 1 June 2020

Motor trade number licenses that expire during the period that commenced from 26 March – 31 May 2020, are deemed to be valid and extended for a further grace period of 6 months from 20 May 2020.

No person will be allowed to enter a driving license testing Centre ( DLTC), registering authority, vehicle testing station or driving school without a face mask, or a homemade mask that covers the nose and mouth.

All DLTCs, Registering Authorities, Vehicle testing stations, and driving schools must put in place procedures for the cleaning and disinfection of their premises prior to commencement of service on 1 June 2020.
