Robbery victim stabbed in Temple Valley – KZN

A 46 year old Swazi national was stabbed multiple times after he attempted to fight off robbery suspects while walking to work.

Members of Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) were called out to a church on Lotus Road in Temple Valley after the victim arrived on the premises covered in blood. Medics treated him for stab wounds to both his shoulders and a laceration to his right cheek before transporting his to hospital.

The victim explained that he was returning to the church where is employed as a security officer after withdrawing cash from an ATM in the Verulam CBD. While on Lotus Road he was accosted by three individuals. When the suspects tried to search the victim he resisted and fought back. One of the robbers repeatedly stabbed the man when he dropped his Nokia cellphone. The robbers grabbed the phone and fled the scene.

Reaction Officers are currently searching for the suspects.
