A 30-year-old man was seriously injured after he was attacked by a mob on Fernham Drive in Redfern, Phoenix.
The Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) Phoenix Operations Center received a call from a resident in the area reporting an injured man lying on the roadside. On arrival, he informed Reaction Officers that a mob consisting of at least ten men confronted him and accused him of theft. They then began assaulting him before they fled on foot.
The injured man was treated for his injuries by Medics from the Provincial Ambulance Service before being transported to the hospital by ambulance.
