Success! At 10:21 this morning backup was requested at Atterbury value mart shopping centre for an armed robbery in progress.
Multiple security vehicles and SAPS responded and gave chase as a lookout was given of the vehicle involved. The vehicle was cornered in a cul-de-sac in Erasmuskloof and a shootout between the suspects and responding officers ensued.
One suspect was fatally wounded, another wounded and 2 more arrested after a short chase on foot through the residential complex and spruit.
Stolen goods and firearms were recovered on the scene. Thanx to all involved!
