Elderly woman injured in an alleged house robbery

An 86-year-old woman sustained moderate injuries following an alleged house robbery on Shirley Street in Valhalla this afternoon.

When ER24 paramedics arrived at the scene shortly before 15h00, they found the lady sitting on a chair being assessed by another medical service. Upon further assessment, paramedics found that she had sustained moderate injuries. Paramedics treated her at the scene before transporting her to hospital for further medical care.

The exact circumstances surrounding the incident are not known to our paramedics, but police were on the scene for further investigations.
