A man in his thirties was shot and killed at an informal settlement in Canelands, Verulam this morning (Saturday).
Members of Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) were called out to Station Road at approximately 05:20. On arrival, the body of a man was found in a pathway in the settlement. He was shot in the head. Two spent 9mm cartridges were recovered on the scene. The deceased’s identity has been established.
The motive for the shooting is unknown at this stage
