Five suspect are due to appear in the Simons Town magistrates’ court on Monday, 21 September 2020, after they were arrested by Ocean View police on Thursday night in two separate incidents.
In the first incident, police followed up on information they received about firearms at an address at Sylvia Court, Ocean View. Upon their arrival, the members searched two suspects and found two unlicensed firearms with ammunition in their possession. Two men aged 20 and 23 were arrested.
Meanwhile, police attended to a shooting incident near the flats in Ocean View where they found three men ages, 20, 22 and 30 in possession of ammunition. The suspects were arrested.
