A man in his 50s was left critically injured yesterday afternoon when a bakkie struck him on Westrup Street in Vanderbijlpark.
ER24 paramedics arrived on the scene at 16h30 to find the man lying in the middle of the road. The bakkie was located some distance away.
Medics assessed the man and found that he had sustained numerous injuries and was in a critical condition.
The man was treated for his injuries and provided with advanced life support interventions before he was transported to Sebokeng Provincial Hospital for further care.
Local authorities were on the scene for further investigations.
