The Commission of Inquiry into Taxi Violence continues on 15 October 2020

The public hearings of the Commission of Inquiry into Taxi Violence in the Gauteng province will continue on
Thursday, 15 October 2020 at 09:00.

The testimony will be presented by the Provincial Head of Organised Crime in the Gauteng province, Brigadier Herman Modise.

His testimony will include, but not limited to the functioning of the Gauteng Taxi Violence Task Team operating under Organised Crime.
He will also address progress on the findings and recommendations presented by the Retired Lieutenant General Vinesh Moonoo on the 505 active cases that relate to the taxi industry in the Gauteng province.

Brigadier Modise will also present the new organigram for the new murder and robbery which includes Taxi Violence
in the Gauteng province.

The legal team is in the process of identifying and/or consulting with other witnesses who will appear before the Commission
over the next few days.
