A Toyota Hiace taxi overturned and landed on a house on Isihlangu Road, Phase 5 in Waterloo today (Monday).
Members of Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) on scene 16:43 and found the overturned mini bus lying against the house. The driver who was the only occupant in the vehicle had abandoned the wreckage and fled the scene. The occupants of the residence which included a woman and three children aged 2, 6 and 10 years were not injured.
According to witnesses the taxi was travelling downhill when the driver lost control of the vehicle which left the road before it overturned.
