A case of murder is being investigated after the body of an unidentified man was discovered on an unpaved road between Parkgate and Sana Township in Verulam.
Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) Operations Centre received a call regarding the discovery. Reaction Officers and Medics were dispatched to the scene and on arrival found that the man lying in a prone position on the unpaved road.
Upon assessment, he was found to have sustained a stab wound to his back and chest. The unidentified man was declared deceased at the scene.
The motive for the murder is unknown at this stage.
