Reaction Unit South Africa are currently searching (15:40 Thursday) for four armed suspects who held up a plastic factory on Riverview Road – Missionlands in Kwazulu Natal.
At approx 14:34 a staff of Gangash General Trading arrived at the RUSA Headquarters to report an Armed Robbery in Progress at the business premises.
Reaction Officers converged on the scene and were informed that the suspects had fled in a blue Toyota Corolla or a blue Chevrolet Aveo. Officers then received information from a motorist who reported the reckless driving of a blue Chevrolet Aveo travelling in the direction of the Redcliffe area. All entrances & exits were closed off by Reaction Officers while a patrol vehicle searched .
According to staff, the suspects entered the premises after producing an old invoice. They then produced firearms and fled with an undisclosed amount of cash that was to be paid out as salaries.
No injuries were reported.
