Shots were fired during a robbery at a jewelry store in Gateway Shopping Center in Umhlanga.
Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) received a call from a shopper reporting shots being fired at the mall. Reaction Officers were dispatched to the scene and on arrival found several private security companies and Police in attendance.
Details surrounding the robbery are sketchy at this stage as the scene is active. It is believed that the robbers fled in a Toyota Corolla with jewelry stolen from the business.
No injuries were reported.
