Three (3) Armed Robbers are targeting joggers in the Brindhaven, Verulam

Three (3) Armed Robbers are targeting joggers in the Brindhaven – Verulam area in recent weeks.

Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) has attended to several cases reported by both morning & evening joggers who have been robbed by three (3) suspects. The victims are usually deprived of their mobile phones & other valuables and the suspects then flee towards a dense bush near Mt View Secondary School (see picture 2).

This afternoon (Sunday 21/02/2021) a 21-year-old male who was jogging on Glenhaven Drive – Brindhaven at approx 17:30 was accosted by three suspect who produced a panga (bladed tool) and two rusty pocket knives. The victim was hit at the back of his head with the panga and robbed of a Samsung A3 mobile phone.

The suspects then fled into the dense bush.
