Seven injured in collision between two vehicles on the N1, Centurion

A family of five have suffered minor to moderate injuries after they were involved in a collision between their Jeep and a BMW on the N1, Centurion, near the Brakfontein interchange last night.

The driver and passenger of the BMW were also injured in the collision.

ER24 paramedics arrived on the scene just after 11 pm to find the Jeep on its roof on the side of the freeway and the five members of the family sitting next to the vehicle. The BMW was some distance away and its occupants were being attended to by another private service on the scene. The 33-year-old father and 13-year-old daughter had suffered moderate head injuries and the 30-year-old mom, 4-year-old son and 1-year-old daughter, minor injuries. They were all treated on scene before being transported through to Tembisa Hospital for further care. The injuries of the two patients from the BMW are unknown to ER24.

Both the Metro Police and Traffic Services were on the scene for investigations.
