Three illegal firearms seized, suspects in court

Police officers from the Inanda Tactical Response Team were conducting operations in KwaMashu yesterday afternoon.

Whilst they were busy with their operations, they spotted a vehicle with three men traveling along Musa Road in the KwaMashu Hostel. The vehicle was stopped. A search was conducted and the suspects were found in possession of three illegal firearms with 27 rounds of ammunition.

The three suspects aged between 35 and 39 were placed under arrest for illegal possession of firearms and ammunition. The suspects will appear before the Ntuzuma Magistrate’s Court on 08 April 2021.
