Business robbery in Ottawa

Four men are being sought after they robbed a Somalian-owned supermarket on School Road in Ottawa a short while ago (Friday).

Members of Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) arrived on the scene at approximately 12:51. It was established that the suspects entered the store acting as customers. Three of the robbers produced firearms and instructed an employee to open a security gate to allow them access behind the counter. The fourth suspect remained at the door and kept a lookout for First Responders.

The gunmen stole an undisclosed amount of cash, cigarettes, and two airtime dispensing machines before they fled on foot towards the railway line between Old Main Road and Pinewood Road. The victim was not injured.

Reaction Officers conducted an extensive search for the four however no arrests were made.
