Mount road police seek identity of skeletal bones

Detectives at SAPS Mount Road is urgently seeking the community’s assistance in identifying skeletal remains of a human being found in bushes on 24 March 2021 in William Moffett Expressway.

According to police information, on the mentioned date at about 13:30, a 31-year-old man was walking when he noticed prickly pears in the bush. As he trailed further into the bushes, he stumbled on the skeleton. According to the post mortem report, the skeleton is that of an adult male, approximately middle aged. The cause of death is undetermined due to its decomposition.

An inquest docket is opened for investigation.
