Suspects sought in Mpumalanga for house robbery and two counts of murder

Police in Mpumalanga have launched a manhunt for three suspects involved in a house robbery in which two men, aged 22 and 39 were murdered on Friday, 14 May 2021 at Majembeni Trust near Bushbuckridge.

Reports indicate that at about 19h00, three armed men stormed into a certain house in Bushbuckridge where they went to the back room and firstly held a 22-year-old man at gunpoint. They then instructed him to knock at the door of the main house and when the door was opened, the suspects are said to have fatally shot the 39-year-old owner as well as his 22-year-old employee.

The suspects reportedly left the victims lying on the floor and proceeded to the house where they found the owner’s wife. According to information, the suspects demanded cash and ransacked the house as well as damaged the ceiling, took a TV set, car keys as well as an undisclosed amount of cash then got away in the victim’s gold VW Golf 4 with registration number HGB436MP.

Police and emergency services were notified about the incident and upon arrival, the two men were unfortunately certified dead at the scene. A case was opened hence the manhunt.
