A man was shot in an unprovoked attack in Mslasini, Everest Heights.
Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) received a call from a passerby reporting the incident. Reaction Officers were dispatched to the scene and on arrival found the victim lying on the ground. He sustained a single gunshot wound to his back.
According to witnesses, the victim was approached by a group of men when he was shot without warning. The suspects then fled on foot without taking anything.
Police are investigating further.
