The Provincial Organised Crime Narcotics Unit, Crime Intelligence, and Special Task Force conducted a multi-disciplinary operation at Phoenix yesterday.
The team proceeded to Gillham Place in Phoenix to execute a search warrant. They entered the premises and a 49-year-old man was found on the premises. He was found in possession of 19 pieces of crack cocaine, two plastic sealers, and 13 mandrax tablets.
The total value of the recovered drugs is R2500. The suspect was placed under arrest and he appeared in the Verulam Magistrates Court yesterday for dealing in drugs. He was remanded in custody and the matter was adjourned to 10 August 2021.
