Two arrested with presumable stolen property

An intelligence-driven integrated operation led to the arrest of two suspects who were found to be in possession of presumed stolen property, moments after they broke into a residence.

Members of the K9 Unit were busy with patrols in the Table View area on Tuesday, 10 August 2021, after midday, when they received information pertaining to a suspicious vehicle with two sets of number plates. As the patrol vehicle approached the traffic intersection at the corners of the R27 and Blaauwberg Road, they spotted the vehicle with two occupants and signaled them to stop on the side of the road. The members searched the vehicle and found an air rifle, a flat-screen television as well as a backpack containing housebreaking implements.

Two males aged 35 and 41 were arrested and detained. The duo is expected to appear in the Cape Town Magistrate’s Court on Thursday, 12 August 2021 on charges of possession of presumable stolen property and housebreaking implements.
