DRK Tactical responded to a business break-in in Durban

At approximately 05h50 on Thursday morning, the dRK Tactical Control Center was alerted via a Whatsapp group off a business break-in at the corners of St Thomas and Stephen Dlamini.

The information was immediately circulated to our squad units within the area and within minutes of them receiving the information they arrived on the scene.

Reports from the scene indicate that a security officer who is posted on the premises witnessed a maroon Toyota Etios Sedan, with 4 occupants park their vehicle about 5 meters away from the premises. Three of the four suspects then alighted from the vehicle and proceeded towards the main door.

One of the three suspects were armed with a handgun and held the guard at gunpoint while the other two suspects forced open the main door to the restaurant.

The suspects used a pick to force open the main door. Once the suspects entered the eatery they helped themselves to two flat-screen T.Vs.

The suspects then loaded the two television units into their awaiting vehicle and fled the scene. The suspects made a U-turn on Stephen Dlamini and then turned left into St Thomas.

Berea SAPS stood off on the scene and is currently registering a case.
