Integrated efforts between SAPS and other Law Enforcement Agencies to curb gang violence landed two suspects, male and female both aged 35 behind bars for the possession of an unlicensed firearm and ammunition in Voorburg, Delft earlier today.
The officers were busy with stop and search operations when they spotted the duo. The male handed the firearm over to the female but the officers saw and searched them and found a 9mm pistol with ammunition in their possession.
The suspects will make a court appearance in Bellville Magistrate’s court once they are charged.
