Members of Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) has responded to numerous calls in recent weeks where suspects are using the green belt behind properties to monitor the movement of homeowners before they break into homes or snatch valuables from the yard. In some cases, homeowners confronted the suspects who fled over perimeter fences and into the dense bush.
The RUSA R44 helicopter conducted an aerial survey of the green belt and located several footpaths believed to be used by criminals.
