Drugs recovered at Durban Lodge

The Provincial Drug and Firearm Unit team received information about men packing drugs at a lodge in East Street at Overport. Yesterday, at 15:30, the police officers proceeded to the identified lodge. Upon arrival, they requested to search the premises. Police officers found three men aged between 27 and 55 in possession of drugs.

The recovered drugs included 3050 pieces of rock cocaine and two large pieces of rock cocaine. The estimated street value of the drugs is R228 000-00. The suspects were arrested at the scene and charged for being in possession of drugs. They are expected to appear in the Durban Magistrate’s Court today.
