The Kuruman FCS unit is seeking the assistance of the public in locating the mother of a 4-day old baby boy who was abandoned in a toilet at the Kuruman taxi rank Sunday evening, 07 November 2021.
It is alleged that a cleaner seen a woman entering the toilet carrying a baby.
A while later, the cleaner noticed the unknown woman leaving the toilet without the baby.
She went to investigate and found the baby boy unattended in the toilet and the mother missing.
The cleaner took the baby to the Kuruman police station. The baby was taken to the Kuruman hospital for medical treatment.
A case of child abandonment is being investigated is being investigated Kuruman FCS. The Investigating officer, Constable Precious Schoeman is requesting the assistance of the public in providing information that can lead to the apprehension and arrest of the mother.
