Two suspects arrested on murder and possession of unlicensed firearm charges

Efforts to bring perpetrators of violent crime to book paid off when members of Woodstock police arrested two suspects aged 27 and 36 on charges of murder and the possession of an unlicensed firearm in Wright Street Woodstock earlier today (2021-11-10).

The members followed up on information about a murder that occurred when they arrested the two. A 9mm pistol was confiscated.

Once charged the suspects will appear in Cape Town Magistrate’s court on the mentioned charges.

In an unrelated matter members of Atlantis police arrested a 25-year-old suspect for the possession of a handmade zip gun with ammunition in Grosvenor Street Saxonsea, Atlantis last night (2021-11-10) at about 22:00.

The members were busy with crime prevention patrols when they spotted the suspicious-looking male and decided to search him.

The suspect will appear in Atlantis Magistrate’s Court on Friday 12 November 2021 on charges of possession of a handmade firearm and ammunition.
