82-Year-old assaulted during a robbery in Inanda

An 82-year-old female was assaulted by robbery suspects at her residence in Inanda, KZN.

Members of Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) were dispatched to a home invasion. On arrival, an emotional female informed Reaction Officers that four or five armed men entered her yard and gained entry into her unlocked home.

The suspects began assaulting her and demanded valuables. They broke through a locked bedroom door (picture 3) and exited with a pillowcase filled with valuables. The robbers fled in a white Ford Ranger Club Cab (registration unknown) believed to be used in an earlier robbery.

The victim’s 60-year-old mentally challenged daughter was in the house at the time of the robbery but was not injured.
