Five suspects arrested for business robbery in Grassy Park

On Thursday, 02 December 2021, a complaint was received regarding suspicious males in Lake Road, Grassy Park observing specific business premises in the road.

Members attached to Maitland Flying Squad who were doing crime prevention patrols in the area attended the complaint and upon arrival was directed by the community to the shop where the suspects were.

The members entered the premises and found the five suspects in the act of a business robbery.

The five suspects aged between 30 and 42 were arrested and found to be in possession of three firearms without serial numbers.

The suspects will appear in the Wynberg Magistrates Court on Monday, 06 December 2021 on charges of business robbery, attempted murder, and possession of unlicensed firearms and ammunition.
