Support for Victims and Survivors of Gender Based Violence

Today marks day 13 of the 16 Days of Activism against Gender-based Violence, and it goes without saying that South Africa is one of the most dangerous countries for women, children and even men.

If you know of someone or suspect that someone is a victim of domestic violence, you might feel like you don’t know where to get help or what the best is way to help. There is help out there, you just need to know how to access the resources that can help and support those who are being abused. Don’t let a fear of saying the wrong thing prevent you from reaching out.

GBV leads to psychological trauma, and can have huge psychological, behavioral and physical consequences for survivors. Don’t miss the final GBV series Live Chat on Friday, 10 December between 1PM and 2PM. Tune in as experts share more about the psycho-social & medical support available for Victims of Gender Based Violence.
