SAPS Brackendowns partners with Community Policing Forum (CPF) and local security companies as part of its Safer Schools Campaign

Members of SAPS Brackendowns embarked on a Safer Schools Campaign and visited a school in Brackenhurst on Wednesday, 19 January 2022; a week into the new academic year.

The police officials were joined by members of the Community Policing Forum (CPF) and guards from various local security companies.

Learners were sensitised on the dangers of substance abuse and general safety measures in and around the school environment.

The SAPS members also brought two learners, both aged 18, into custody after narcotics and dagga were found in their possession during the Safer Schools talk; they are now facing charges of possession of drugs.
