An intelligence operation was carried out by Umkomaas police officers yesterday afternoon at Umgababa area.
Police conducted an observation at a house where drug dealing was suspected to be taking place. An operation was put in place and police officers proceeded to Area 35 in Umgababa. The suspect aged 20 was searched and found in possession of 47 blue and white capsules of heroin and 74 straws of crystal meth.
The cash amount of R732-00 suspected to be the proceeds of drugs was seized from the suspect. The recovered drugs are valued at R7400-00. The suspect appeared before the Umbumbulu Magistrates’ Court today for possession of drugs.
