Victims locked in a bathroom during a robbery in Dawncrest

Three women aged between 29 and 67 were locked in the bathroom during a home invasion on Kestrel Grove in Dawncrest – KZN.

Members of Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) received a call for assistance after a resident noticed unusual activity on the property.

On arrival, Reaction Officers entered the property and identified themselves when they heard the victims calling for assistance from the bathroom. Reaction Officers broke the door and freed them.

It was established that four balaclava-clad males de-railed the driveway gate and entered the property before they accosted the victims.

The suspects were armed with firearms. They stole an X Box, ten cellphones, an undisclosed amount of cash, jewelry, a 32” and 40” inch TV, and a laptop before they fled.

It could not be confirmed what vehicle was used in the robbery.

The victims were not injured.
