Police are investigating a case of a missing person at Mahwelereng

The South African Police Service in Mahwelereng is investigating a case of a missing person after a 13-year-old girl, Mahlatse Moyane of Armoede Village in Mapela outside Mokopane disappeared on 13 June 2022 at about 15h30 in the afternoon.

She reportedly left a suicide note at her mother’s home a few days after she went missing. It is alleged that the missing teenager’s mother saw her at a house in their village with an unknown older man while passing by. Upon noticing her mother, the two disappeared into the neighboring bush.

The teen was last seen wearing a black Adidas T-shirt, blue jeans, and orange sandals.
