Public assistance is required to locate 17-year-old Mohammed Akeel Pillay.
Pillay is a resident of Gannet Crescent in Dawncrest – KZN. He spent the afternoon at Cornubia Mall – KZN but got lost while attempting to return home. He contacted a relative at approximately 20:00 informing him that he was lost but could see a sign indicating that he was in the vicinity of the N2 heading towards Durban – KZN.
He also informed his relative that his phone was about to switch off due to a low battery. Attempts to call him thereafter were unsuccessful. Pillay has a history of depression. He is believed to be in the company of a 15-year-old female who allegedly spent the day with him at the mall however RUSA has no confirmation of this.
