Today, Hawks members from Port Shepstone Serious Organised Crime Investigation and Durban Metro Drug Team arrested a 27-year-old suspect for dealing in drugs at Phoenix area in Durban.
Members received information about a suspect who was transporting drugs to Phoenix Highway. A disruptive operation was swiftly conducted and the said vehicle was spotted. Police intercepted the vehicle and the search was conducted.
During the search three hundred capsules of heroin and twenty pieces of crack cocaine to the street value of approximately R8 000-00 were found. The suspect was arrested and charged accordingly.
He is expected to appear in the Verulam Magistrate’s Court on Monday 8 August 2022.
