A 68-year-old female was assaulted during a home invasion in Dawncrest – KZN.
Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) received a call for assistance. On arrival, Reaction Officers were informed that three armed suspects entered the yard through the driveway gate that was ajar. They held up two employees before they entered the house and confronted the elderly female.
They ransacked the bedrooms and forced the victim to point out where the jewellery was stored. The robbers thereafter separated the gold from the imitation jewellery.
The elderly female was then escorted at gunpoint to an outbuilding that is being rented by a Bangladeshi national. The suspects confronted the tenant and searched his room before they fled with cash and jewellery.
The victims were unable to confirm the vehicle used in the incident.
