Police apprehended a 26-year-old male for the illegal possession of ammunition at corner Melrose and Delvers Street on 02 May 2023 at 20:00.
Police received a tip-off from a member of the community about a male in possession of ammunition and they operationalised it. They saw a male fitting the description given; they searched him and recovered ammunition of different calibers of firearms.
The investigation is underway and the suspect will appear soon in the Johannesburg Magistrate Court.
Johannesburg Central Station Commander, Brigadier Perumal commended the good working relationship between the police and the community.
