MEC Sipho Hlomuka to inspect the busy globe road motor licensing office in preparation for the resumption of operations

Motorists will soon feel some relief as the KwaZulu-Natal MEC for Transport, Community Safety and Liaison, Sipho Hlomuka, will tomorrow (Tuesday, 23 May 2023) conduct an inspection and announce the re-opening of the Goble Road Motor Licensing Office in Durban.

The office is the biggest, servicing more than 700 000 vehicles a month.
The building was condemned two years ago due to various defects, which forced the staff and services to relocate to Umbilo Motor Licensing.

The re-opening of this office will be a huge relief to motorists and car dealerships as it will improve service delivery and address the backlog.

MEC Hlomuka will also use the inspection to engage with the media on the proposed provincial motor vehicle license numbering system.

DETAILS FOR THE INSPECTION AND MEDIA ENGAGEMENT ARE AS FOLLOWS:
