Allianz appoints new employees

Allianz Global Corporate & Specialty (AGCS) South Africa recently announced the following appointments. Mukondeleli Masiza was appointed in Claims on May 1, 2023, as a Claims Handler. She is a qualified attorney with over nine years of experience within South Africa’s legal and short-term insurance industries in the areas of liability insurance claims handling, the law of contract, and the handling of both litigated and non-litigated civil matters. Before joining Allianz, Mukondeleli worked for a global insurer as a Claims Adjuster.

Thokozane Mthiya was appointed as a Property Insurance Underwriter on May 1, 2023. She has over 10 years of corporate experience having previously worked as a Property, Corporate and Commercial Underwriter as well as a Systems Analyst at Old Mutual Insure, and as Business Development Underwriter within Cyber and Medical Malpractice at a local risk insurer. Thokozane holds a Diploma in Accounting from the Durban University of Technology and is currently in her third year of a Bachelor of Commerce in Milpark. She was part of the Insurance Institute of Gauteng (IIG) Class of 2017.

Sameenah Kassim was appointed as an Administrator on May 1, 2023. Before joining Allianz, Sameenah worked in the catering, education, real estate, and payroll industries. A certified associate in project management, Sameenah describes herself as a determined, honest, committed, and self-motivated individual. “I am pleased to have joined Allianz as I am now acquiring knowledge from those who have knowledge, skills, and experience. I love the challenge at Allianz because I am learning and growing and contributing positively towards the company,” says Sameenah.

Tshilidzi Mudau is a Graduate Intern in Claims. She came on board early this year. She holds a law degree from the University of Venda. Originally from Phiphidi village in Limpopo, she volunteered for the South African Women Lawyers Association as a treasurer and used her knowledge and skills to tutor other students in administrative law, law of succession, and criminal law. “Joining Allianz has allowed me to apply my legal knowledge in an innovative environment where I can make an impact on our business and our customers,” says Tshilidzi.

Anele Dlamini was appointed as a Graduate Intern early this year. She is a graduate of the University of Johannesburg with a Bcom Accounting degree. “I am from Pongola in KwaZulu-Natal province, and I’ve always been inspired by my late father who was an accountant, auditor, and tax consultant,” she says.

“He exhibited the strengths, skills, and values of an accountant and he was passionate about his work. This led me to the love of accounting and wanting to pursue a career further in it. So, I am excited to be part of Allianz as I am gaining knowledge, skills, and experience from tasks that need to be done.”
