You can run, but you can’t hide! While on patrol in the Newton Park area on Friday night, our Community Operation Manager (COM) from the west, Chris, noticed a man on a motorcycle driving on the wrong side of the road while trying to evade SAPS members.
Our COM immediately jumped into action and assisted the police. Not long before he cornered the suspect in an underground mall parking and managed to get him to stop, it was ascertained that the suspect was seen driving erratically in the Cape Road area and was chased by SAPS but managed to get away by going on the pavement.
Our COM handed the suspect over to SAPS, and he was taken to Mount Road for further investigation.
