Earlier this morning IPSS Medical Rescue responded to a house fire in the Ezakheni area.
On arrival of medics, they found a single home engulfed in flames. Ladysmith Fire Department and Ezakheni Fire Department extinguished the flames. Sadly, a young child was unable to escape the blaze and was declared deceased on the scene on IPSS Medical Rescue medics.
The cause of the fire will be investigated further.
