A church caught fire after a school nearby allegedly started a fire to burn rubbish in Soweto.

The fire was very close to the fence of the school and the Church, and with the heavy winds, the flames spread over to the Church premises and set the building alight, destroying it.

The Community Operations Manager for Soweto and our SecureFire team are on the scene, working hand in hand with the City of Joburg Fire Department.
