Reaction Officers are currently Friday (18:25) searching for seven (7) year old Lungelo Ngcobo.
The child’s father arrived at Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) HQ this afternoon requesting assistance to locate the boy. The child is a grade 1 pupil at Ginga Primary School in Mawothi – KZN.
His father informed Reaction Officers that the child left their home in Ntombe near Trenance Park – KZN yesterday afternoon (Thursday) with a fifteen (15) year old friend and did not return. It is believed that his friend led the minor to his homestead in Ndwedwe – KZN.
Reaction Officers transported the man to the teenagers home and met with his mother and relatives (pictured). They explained that both boys arrived last night but fled after stealing R300 cash.
While interviewing the family, the man received a call from a relative in Ntombe – KZN confirming that the child had returned.
RUSA Members proceeded to the Ntombe – KZN but were informed that both children had once again fled. Their families were not in possession of images of the missing boy.
The search was called off due to poor lighting and will resume st first light.
