Four men are being sought for a business robbery that occurred in the Verulam CBD – KZN a short while ago (Wednesday).
An employee of a clothing store contacted Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) at approximately 14:28. According to the caller, four men were in the process of robbing the business premises. The caller concealed himself in the toilet and was observing the incident.
All available Reaction Officers were mobilised to the scene and on arrival were informed that the robbers had fled minutes prior to their arrival. Officers interviewed victims and pedestrians but could not establish if the suspects fled on foot or in a vehicle.
According to the owner of the store, the four suspects entered the store and produced firearms. They stole an undisclosed amount of cash and cellphones before they casually exited the premises.
No injuries were reported.
