On Tuesday 19 September 2023 at 18h20, the Ekurhuleni Metropolitan Police Department (EMPD) Bronberg Precinct Officers, arrested a 39-year-old male suspect for Fraud, at the Crystal Park area.
While busy with Traffic Law Enforcement and visibility on Concord Road, EMPD Officers spotted and stopped a white VW Golf, for driving inconsiderately. The appear nervous VW driver, was requested to produce his driver’s license and he gave Officers, a valid card driver’s license, belonging to someone else. The officers did a thorough driver’s license check, through the e-NATIS system and result came out as ‘NO DRIVERS LICENSE’. The suspect facing charges of reckless and negligent driving plus fraud, was handcuffed and taken to the Crystal Park police station.
He is expected to appear, at the Benoni Magistrate’s Court soon and the VW Golf used, was impounded to the police station, for safekeeping.
