Narcotics seized and three people nabbed in the Boksburg area

The Ekurhuleni Metropolitan Police Department (EMPD) Drug Enforcement Unit (DEU) Officers, arrested three foreign nationals and illicit substances, were confiscated.

Acting on a tip-off from concerned members of the community, about three dodgy tenants, occupying a house on Commissioner Street, EMPD Officers responded and the house in question, was raided. The crime-fighting Unit, uncovered a clear plastic bag with khat and seven ziplock bags of crystal meth, before two males with a female occupant from Somalia and Malawi, who are 35, 40 and 43 years of age, were handcuffed.

The trio facing charges of possession and possible dealing in illicit substance, were marched to the Boksburg police station and charges, in relation to the Immigrations Act, could be added. The detainees, are expected to appear at the Boksburg Magistrate’s Court soon.
