Police recovered copper cables worth R15 0000 at a local scrapyard at Betrams in Jeppe on Thursday, 04 January 2024.
Preliminary investigation established that the copper cable belongs to PRASA and Johannesburg City Power.
The 49-year-old owner of the scrapyard was arrested and is expected to appear before Jeppe Magistrates’ Court soon.
